Half Laugh

For the past 15-plus years I have been in the improvisational comedy industry. I did not find this career; it found me. Its been the most romantic love story you could ever imagine but I wont get into in now. Over the years people have come up to me after shows and said a lot of things. Where did you get your name? Are you really funny? Is that really made up on the spot? and so on. But one major subjects brought up to me is my perceived knowledge of traditional theatre. I am guessing this is because most people get introduced to improv through a high school theater class.

I love the theater. Many great improvisers have come out of the theater but that is not how I found improv. Improv found me bouncing around on an ocean of misguided "talent". It picked me up and set me one my feet giving me purpose and self-confidence. The wrest is history.

So please dont start quoting Le-Miserably (sp?) around me and expect me to pick up on it, because I wont. I will most likely look at you with a blank stare and a half laugh.

Upon St. Crispin's Day!
