Today a mentor of mine mentioned to me that "people that go ahead are crazy" For those of you who don't want to read between the lines here is what he meant.
Six months ago I started Capitol City Theater and I got a lot of people saying I'm bold, daring, "The Man" and awesome. The truth is I dont feel I'm that at all. I just lack that certain part of the brain that says, "Wait a second, lets think this through". I have had more than one mentor in my life tell me I'm a point, shoot, aim type of guy. This is very true about me and many times in my life this has hurt me but not as many times as this has helped me. I dont have courage; the fact is im just CRAZY and thank God I am. I wouldnt have kissed the homecoming queen, lived in a van down by the river, seen Europe, shared a beer with Elvis, performed for 30,000 people, got married, had a child or opened my own theater.
To my readers I say; Go Crazy, ASAP.
